While volleyball is my true passion, I also love skiing in the winter and spending all the time I can in the ocean during my summers in Spain, where I always go to spend time visiting with my family and friends overseas. This allows me to stay in good physical and mental shape, connecting with nature and spending quality time with my family. As a great mentor once told me, the three most important things for me should be family, school, and volleyball, and probably in that order. These words have stuck with me.
Another passion of mine imprinted by my family since I was very little is the curiosity to travel and discover different cultures, their languages, religions, landscapes and architecture, foods, smells and flavors, and of course getting to know their people. I have spent time in China for school, and being multilingual gives me opportunities to more intimately connect with the locals during these trips and better understand their reality, which I believe makes me a more open minded, respectful and tolerant person who will hopefully make positive contributions in this complex world.
